Privacy Policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
The short version: we collect only what we need to sell you the course, deliver it and reply to you. We don't sell your data, we don't use advertising trackers, and anything you tell us about your gambling stays confidential.
Who we are
Give Up Gambling (giveupgambling.com) is run by Off Solutions Limited, based in New Zealand. For anything to do with your personal information, email [email protected].
What we collect
- When you buy: your name, email address, country and billing details. Stripe handles payment. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you get the course emails: your name and email address, held by our email provider so it can send you the 14 lessons. Like most email services, it may record whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked.
- When you write to us: whatever you choose to share. This can be personal: your gambling, your money, your relationships, how you're feeling. Only Brad reads it, and it's never used for marketing or shared with anyone else.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical information such as your IP address, so the site loads and stays secure. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites. We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics that follow you around the web.
How we use it
- To deliver the course you paid for
- To process payments and refunds
- To reply when you write to us
- To keep the financial and tax records the law requires
- To send you other emails, but only if you've joined our free list. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services we need to run the course, and only for that purpose:
- Stripe: payments
- MailerLite: sending the course emails
- Google Workspace: our support inbox
- Zapier: passing your name and email from checkout to the email system
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security and cookie-free visitor statistics
These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. We use providers who are bound by contracts to protect it. We'll only disclose information to anyone else if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Purchase and payment records: seven years, as New Zealand tax law requires
- Your email address on the course list: until the course finishes or you unsubscribe
- Emails you send us: as long as we need them to help you. Ask and we'll delete them.
Keeping it secure
The site is served only over HTTPS. Payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest standard for card security. Our accounts with each provider are protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and only Brad has access to customer information and support emails.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, except for records we must keep by law. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 20 working days.
If you're in the UK or EU, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to how we use your data and to ask for a copy in a portable format. We use your information to perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running the course. When you choose to tell us about your health or wellbeing in an email, we rely on your consent to read and reply to it.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand), the Information Commissioner's Office (UK), or your local privacy regulator.
Age
The course is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll email customers about it.
